Position Summary:
The Shift Lead is responsible for supporting the General Manger and restaurant Team Members by delivering food and other items to guests in a professional, timely, and friendly manner. He/She is also responsible for organizing team member positions throughout the day and delegating tasks to coworkers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities, the essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting the General Manager in any tasks requested
- Facilitating the Quarter Back position during peak hours
- Effective problem solving
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and regularly assist in covering shifts
- Doing daily numbers and bank deposits when necessary
- Assisting to organize daily shifts, breaks, and positions
- Assisting with the training of new expos and cashiers
- Ordering of chips and Non Alcoholic Beverages
- Performing a kitchen walk through regularly to include taste tests, visual inspection, temperatures and accuracy of food prep
- Delivering food and items ordered by guests without delay, at the desired temperature and in a highly presentable manner
- Arranging the various food items properly on the table as per the seating plan
- Clearing tables
- Providing friendly, gracious, motivated, detail oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for guests
- Performing cleaning side work as assigned
- Supporting co-workers in other duties as required
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Minimum 6 months experience in a supervisory position
- Previous restaurant experience strongly preferred
- High energy, outgoing and exemplifies the B&B vibe and energy
- Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Strong verbal communication skills required
- Punctual
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and a flexible schedule as required
- Excellent customer service to treat patrons like family
- The ability to read menus, safety documents, etc.
- The ability to use the company's POS system
- Cash Handling
- Exemplary customer service
- Leads through example
